Easter

Good Morning, fellow bloggers. A big warm welcome to some new followers. I appreciate your joining me here, and I hope you'll enjoy your visits with me. Once again, I've been behind in my posting & blog visits, so please forgive me. I'll try to catchup. Received a sweet email from our fellow Blogger, Bernie,, which I was going post here. I surfed over to Bernie's blog and saw that she'd posted an update. How wonderful it was to hear from her, and find out how things are going during this rough patch of life that she's dealing with just now. I've been trying to bring some order in my stamping area chaos once again. We got another table for that area, so I finally was able to get my Silhouette along with my Toshiba laptop set up in 'their spot'. Hopefully since they don't have to be dragged from here to there, I ?may? use them more frequently. Also brought a sewing machine downstairs, so perhaps I can do a little stitching on cards. I've seen that done, admire it...never tried it. OK..enough with the jibber jabber. Here's the card for today.

A lot of this card is truly snippets. The image was colored last year (I think), and I found a plastic box of things I'd colored, didn't use, put away. (Sure makes my Bunny cards for this year much easier!)

- HMouse stamp colored with copics
- punched out with a Stampin Up scallop punch.
- SU large circle punch for the mat, and this green was a piece of wallpaper from a book of samples (that should qualify as snippets, yes?)
- scant yellow mat, diecut by S/Binder pinking circle, is also from that sample book (snippet!); the sentiment was punched from the same 2 sample pieces using SU oval punches.
- pink check design paper was diecut with a Marianne Creatables Frames & Leaves, and was also a snippet that turned up in a stack of paper I was moving. I've had this die for a few years, and this is the first time I've used it. Had to do a bit of poking to get the bits released from the cutout spots.
- pale green cardbase is lightweight Recollection paper, and I embossed with a Crafts Too EF...Floral something or other.

If you are interested, I can get the specific names of the stamp & EF folder. I embossed 2 pieces with one pass through the Big Shot, as this is fairly lightweight paper, and the folder embosses deeply.

Now I have been informed that the snippet Playground is open, for week 63. I've taken a peek at some gorgeous projects; why not take a few moments, come along, and see what these little pixies have created. I guarantee there's some stuff to knock your sox off, and you're in for a treat. As always, thanks for joining me, and I will do my best to try to get back here tomorrow. In the meantime, God Bless and have a wonderful Monday. Hugs

I havent tried the sewing on cards but look forward to seeing how yours turns out. I am a bit sewing machine challenged.
I own one but not sure why, my husband does the sewing in our house and usually by hand. Hope you had a great Monday!
