Easter

Good morning, and our area is having a sunny but rather cold day. Our high today is supposed to be 49F, which to some of you, may seem like a high temp. Quite cold for the SC Upstate at this time of year. Hopefully this is winter's last little hurrah before a glorious Spring. We did have a few flakes of snow fall yesterday morning. Had we not been outside speaking with a contractor about rescreening on our back porch, we would have missed it. As it was, I thought it was just 'fluff' being blown by the wind, or some of the white Bradford Pear blooms from the trees around our community. We left for our workout, which we totally missed last week, and when we came back outside, the wind was even stronger. Brrrr...
I hope you got a chance to look in on the Rudolph Day entries, but if not yet, take a little time to surf over. There have been some lovely cards submitted so far, and the challenge is open until the end of the month. Now, for today's card(s):

- image is a snippet (colored last year & rediscovered THIS year!); a Northwoods stamp done on Copic Xpress paper, colored with copics. Used some Spica pens on the flowers, then added some Glossy Accents on the eggs and flower centers after I had adhered to the card front. (BTW, if I plan to color with copics, I always use Memento Tuxedo Black. It does not smear. Use it most of the time for other types of coloring too.)

- image diecut with S/Binders Marvelous Squares, largest die. Paper Piercing around the edges (new technique for me!) then sponged edges while still in the die.

- S/B Decorative Labels 28 on textured Lilac Bazzill behind the focal image, also a snippet. Cut the mat into quarters to get the mat effect I wanted

- Yellow dotted paper from The Paper Studio, embossed with a larger EF, which I think was Crafts Too.

- Sentiment stamped in SU Eggplant with an older Inkadinkadoo stamp, diecut with S/B small deckled rectangle, sponged with DI Milled Lavendar (a snippet from the paper left from diecutting Mr. Bunny).

I'm going to dash over to the Playground and see what those snippet ladies are up to on this cold morning. The Playhouse will have a nice fire, the girls will up to something sure to be fun, and best of all, some beautiful cards made by some very talented cardmakers! Come along on a Magic Carpet ride.  In the meantime - stay warm, and have a funfilled day. Hugs and thanks for joining me. See ya later.

  3. Hi Mary, that is such a sweet image on your beautiful card. I love the lilac mat at the back which really does make the whole image pop. We are still having minus temperatures here and it has been snowing all day - very unusual for us in the UK to have snow for this long...... Hugs, Anne x

  5. Hello Mary, a lovely card today.
The weather in Glasgow is bitterly cold didn't go above 2 or 3 degrees C today. Still no snow here, seem to be in a pocket that is getting missed each time. (Touch wood it keeps away)
