Good morning. Hope that you had a relaxing, wonderful weekend. Here to start off my week, is another attempt at a very special anniversary card for DH. I had made one, wasn't all that happy with it. DH has been a great encourager in my attempts to learn to use copic markers. He's always complimentary about my efforts, no matter how dreadful something turns out. After looking at the first card, I thought I should do a card with something 'copic' on it...so here it is.
- Inkadinkadoo image stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with my fav Ranger Queen's Gold powder. Coloring very carefully over the embossing, I used colors from the Y (yellow) family of copics. There is a gold marker, but it isn't very gold looking to MY eye! I thought this turned out pretty well with what I was trying for as to color. The leaves were done in a very light green tone.
- Diecut with the S/B opulent oval.
- gold shimmer sheetz embossed with Darice rose lace EF.
- white embossed with the old C/B standby - dots.
- MS flower punch trim at the top
Where the 3 different patterns joined, an Elizabeth Craft sticker in a circular line pattern hides the seams. I used the little leftover dots from the chain circles that remained on the sticker paper, to add trim around the diecut, and also flower centers.
- Justrite sentiment stamp, heat embossed with Ranger Queen's Gold, corner points cut at an angle.
Hope he will like this one, and I hope you do too. I have a rub on sentiment to add to the insert, with some mushy stuff about being together 50 years. Actually, it's longer than 50, 'cuz we dated for 2 years. He's a pretty special guy, and I've been very blessed. Thanks for joining me today. Hugs
