Good afternoon, and after Saturday's constant rain throughout the day, we have sunshine again today. So very welcome to see. I worked on a card last night using PB Hedgies...I think these are among the most delightful of the Penny Black images. Here's my card:
- Used a Sizzix rectangle die to cut out the copic colored image, then used a stylus to emboss around the edges. The scarves have Spica pen & Wink of Stella glitz over the colors. The metal on the skates was done with a Gelly Roll Clear Star Silver pen and Glossy Accents on the ice.
- Memory Box snowflake corner trim, glammed up with some icy blue rhinestones. Background paper is from the stash, but probably is a Paper Studio brand.
This can be a Christmas card with an added sentiment, but could also serve for a winter birthday card, which I have need of 2 for January.
Hope you're having a pleasant Sunday afternoon, and if it's ice & snow where you may be, that you can stay cozy & warm inside. Thanks for joining me this afternoon, and as always, Hugs from me to you.

I agree Mary, the Hedgies are so cute and I like the way you have added the rhinestones to the Memory Box Snowflake corder die. I must admit the one I've got has been used a lot, it's good for finishing a card. This will be a lovely birthday card for someone. x

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh these little hedgehogs are adorable on skates! Beautiful coloring and card Mary! Hope you are doing well. I will share some of our warm weather.
ReplyDeleteLove those snowflake corners and the starry blue sky. They are cute little guys. Glad to hear you have sunshine. Hope we get some soon.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love a card that can make me smile Mary!!! I'm assuming that hedgehog in the blue scarf is skating backwards - very nifty!! I could only skate if I held onto the side - which wasn't skating at all! LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove your card though, and the starry paper is just right.
Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
Aww this is great! Hugs xx
ReplyDeletem feeling so guilty as I do not have mine finished. Was making it at a crop I attend at a friendsh ouse once a month...but just seemed to get stumped on it. Have been feeling too rough to get it finished...hopefully in the next couple of days. Went for a chest Xray to check for pneumonia today as the Doctor though he heard it in my lungs. Just the mild form...I think they call it walking pneumonia...it wears you out with the infernal coughing.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an adorable image and I love the snowflake corners! Perfect! We received your beautiful card today! Thank you so much for sharing Christmas with us! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteBack to comment on your lovely card! Love this Penny Black image. The MB snowflakes contrasted against the dark blue sky look fabulous! Well done!
ReplyDeleteEeeek! That is just tooo cute, Mary! Put a smile on my face - thanks! I needed that.

Hi Mary. I came for a visit and love the fact that you post cards that people send you. I recognize Loll's card. I subscribe to her blog. Thanks for sharing your time with others and your creations. I like the hubby cards. It's sometimes hard to come up with a card for them. Hope to visit again soon. Enjoy your holiday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary for visiting my humble blog and leaving such thoughtful comments, You seem to be a person who enjoys making others feel important. This was proven when I saw that you showcased other's cards on your blog. I like the "hubby" truck card you made, and have loved hedgehogs in any way, shape, or form since I was little. I have some hedgehog stamps too. Great job on your colouring and design.
