[hmmm, I'm thinking there might be a little give-away here soon...not so big as blog candy, but just a tiny milestone appreciation. Ya never know.]
Sympathy cards are never easy to make. I saw this beautiful card by Maxine D, and needed to make a pretty but fast card to get mailed. I'm also working on one for another neighbor who lost her husband last week. When I saw Maxine's card, I thought "That design would be nice in white with gold embossing", so here's my take on Maxine's lovely card. I didn't use the layers and embellishments that made Maxine's card such a stunner, but I like this one anyway.
S/B Floral Ovals embossed with Ranger's Queen's Gold using the same ODBD sentiment used by the inspiration card.
Card base embossed with a Crafts Concept corner folder - edged lightly with Delicata Gold.
Sentiment mounted with foam tape over gauze glitter ribbon.
The inside is also simple, using a sentiment from the same ODBD set, which is very nice to have for such occasions as this.
So thanks, Maxine, for inspiring me, when I needed a card that could get made & mailed rapidly, yet still be one that I thought turned out well.
Again, thanks for taking time to visit this afternoon. God Bless. Hugs too. Come again when you can.
Simple is often best Mary. The message always seems to be more pronounced when it is elegant and simple. Your card qualifies in every way.

Thank you for your kind words on my blog. They have been much appreciated. Mum's funeral is booked for the 30th June and I have just been arranging for flowers today. I wanted Gladioli (mum's favourite flower) and found a florist who could do the sprays that I wanted. hugs Mrs A.
