First, help me welcome a lovely new follower, Niki of Pawsitively Creative. Haven't had any new friends for a while, and then suddenly, it's exciting to get some new followers! Just love finding new blogs and getting to know about the creator. So do please give a lookin at Niki's blog and tell her I sent you along! Thanks Niki for becoming a new follower.
Now, here's MY take on the Holly & Ivy Christmas Card Challenge:
- Very old wooden stamp, inked with Versamark - stamped on a burgundy cardstock, embossed with Ranger's Queen's Gold. Colored the Holly with Copics, berries got some WoS for shine.
- Sue Wilson Greek Islands Collection - ivy die cut from a velvet/suede like paper (Marcos Paper but I can't find it to add a link). It's very pretty, and cut very nicely. Split the die cut to place as desired.
Border strip on the left was a snippet from an old recycled purchased Christmas card; thought it was pretty, so into the crapalanche pile (this one on the cutting table, NOT the desk LOL). Cardfront done with a music score from a 6x6 package. No added sentiment since it's on the medallion. That's it!
Do please take time to visit my fellow Club Members, whose blogs are listed on the right side bar!
Again, thanks for joining me this afternoon. May be MIA again for a bit, as we are trying to get some kind of cleanup done in the stamp area. Mr. has come down to help move some tables around, decide where the Alex cabinets will work best, and right now there is SO much chaos in that room...you just wouldn't believe it. Blessings and Hugs.
Look at you with both the holly and ivy! Love that music background with it! Hope you are enjoying this nice weather we're having.

Where to start Mary, I always think music score papers add a certain elegance to a card and draw the eye, the holly element is perfect with the ivy framing it. And of course the traditional Christmas colours always please.
ReplyDeleteI have to confess to being a bit of an ivy freak, whenever I have an indoor planter with some I invariably end up planting it in the gardens. Much to hubby's annoyance as it grows like a triffid, we now have a pergola where it has totally taken over to the detriment of the roses, one wall of the secret garden covered with, a shed has been enveloped by it and now it's even popping up in the card park. So I know the day is fast approaching where hubby takes his pruners for a long outing.
Have a good Sunday.
