Christmas Card Club - Festive Sentiments

Hello, and welcome to another Sunday's Christmas Card Club post. Today's challenge was chosen by our Carol of CMDesign.  Before I share the card, I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who emailed and asked after us during the past excitement with Storm Matthew. We are about 5 hours inland and west of the coast, closer to the mountains actually, than to the sea. We only had a couple days of overcast skies, few drizzles. Some of our friends along the Eastern Seaboard were not so fortunate as our area. It did my heart good to realize so many kind people were thinking of me, when I had not been posting.

As for why I've been MIA, first Mr. was ill. He'd improve, then get a relapse. Then I developed 'something' - either one of my respiratory problems, or a bug I caught from DH. Our days have been spent either on medical appointments, or just resting, sleeping or trying to feel better! Hopefully we're both on the mend, although next week he has medical appointments 4 days of the week. Ugh!

I'd also like to let friends of Creative Crafts by Lynn (jimlynn) know that Lynn is quite under the weather. She'd been having some back issues, which worsened, and she ended up in the hospital. She is currently at home, after a few days stay, and that's the last update I've heard from her. I think some of my followers also visit Lynn. I'm sure she'd appreciate a prayer, or some positive thoughts, if you know Lynn.

Now on to the Christmas Club Card:

- SU image that met the challenge criteria, stamped with versamark, then heat embossed with Ranger Queen's Gold. Colored with Copics, WoS, and metallic pens.

- die cut with a sizzix die, mat cut with the larger die in the set. Edged the mat with versamark, then added some Queen's Gold.

- Dark green Bazzill textured c/s embossed with C/Bug Snow Dots EF. Sponged Delicata Gold ink around the edge...mounted on a white top fold card base.

- Memory Box Bells cut from a snippet of gold, Impression Obsession holly leaves cut from white snippet, colored with copics and WoS.

That's it!!! My fellow team members' blogs are listed in the sidebar, so I hope you'll have time to pay a visit and enjoy some lovely Christmas inspiration. Not too long now -- so best work on getting some cards ready.

One last note: I see that some more followers have disappeared from the number count at the top...anyone else seeing this happen? Of course, since I've been MIA and no new posts, that could be an answer as well! I'll try to do better about this....Just sometimes Life gets in the way.

Thanks for your visit, and enjoy your day. We've had some absolutely gorgeous Fall days, sunshine but cooler air. Love it!!! Big hugs, and again, thanks for your emails.

Oh Mary I do hope you are on the mend - both of you!! I know what you mean about hospital appointments - we have a week off!!! We have to travel over an hour to get to the 'big' hospital, and we were there twice last week!! About 4 times in the last 4 weeks, and more to go...
Love your card - the image is gorgeous, and so beautifully coloured.
Blessings

Great card Mary. So sorry to hear you have both been ill/under the weather.TAke care and get well soon. Likewise, I hope your friend recovers soon too. With regard to Blogger, nothing seems tohave disappeared from the count at the top of the page - but some don't seem to appear in my list of posts so I don't know they have actually posted unless I go into their blogs individually to check. Very strange goings on from Blogger. Hugs Christine xx

What a beautiful card Mary and I adore the decorated sentiment design sitting on that pretty shape and the sweet little added bells, and pretty colours too. Knowing approximately where you live I thought you had escaped Matthew but was beginning to think there might be something amiss, so sorry to hear you and your DH have been unwell but hope things are back to normal soon. x

thanks for sharing this fun design. I think I own that stamp! Need to look and see if it is still in my stash because it would be a fun card to make!

I hope both you and hubby are on the mend now. The best thing to do is just rest and give your body a chance to heal. Sounds like the next week is pretty much taken up for you. I'm glad the weather didn't reach you and you are safe and sound. The card is so pretty. I love the gold around the mat and the copic coloring. You are way ahead of me with Christmas cards.

I hope you and hubby are on the mend now. It's no fun to have an illness linger on. It just takes it right out of you. I like this greeting, colored with gold embossing. It makes for a right nice Christmas card.

First of all, great card, Mary! (Otherwise, I'll forget to mention it!) I've been away and literally off the computer for twelve days (a first for me in many years!) so I'm just making some rounds. I'm sorry to hear that you are Joe are still dealing with not being 100%, but I'm glad that there is improvement! I hope the worst is behind you and you are both back to yourselves soon. I'm also glad that Matthew didn't impact you.

Thank you for sharing about Lynn. I had no idea. I will get a card off first thing and add her to my prayer list. It's been a rough year for her, bless her. You take care and rest often! Love and hugs, Darnell
