All Occasion, Penny Black and More

Hi There from the beautiful South Carolina Upstate region, where we have yet another gorgeous day. Yesterday it got up to 81 in our area, but I hear rumors that another cold front could move through. Oh well, Spring is definitely making headway. I'm ready for it.

I selected my card today to fit the theme of the Penny Black and More Challenge  Blossoms and Bows. I remembered I had this cute Penny Black slapstick stamp - uninked - and hunted it out. It was a joy to color, so you will very likely see it done as another card.

- image is Penny Black slapstick - Dreaming Bunny; colored with copics on a snippet of Xpress paper. (used YG colors along with a touch of E family colors on the bunny. YR (an orange-y family) on the terracotta pot. Of course reds & greens on the flowers & foliage)

- S/Binders Opulent Ovals diecut

- Papers: My Mind's Eye - Tis the Season 6x6 (I used the opposite side of the Christmas motif, which was the green rectangle; The Paper Studio (red striped paper) The Linen Door - 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 pack; punched trim is also H/Lobby loose paper from Paper Studio, punched with a Tonic Dotty Border punch.

- green bow was a snippet of ribbon sent as a Thank you from a vendor when I got an order. The ribbon was just long enough to do a little bow.

I think I'll enter this little Bunny at the Penny Black and More Allsorts Blossoms and Bows, as well as jump over to see what those Foxy Playground ladies are up to. Ya'll have a fun afternoon, now heah? Come again when you have time to visit. Hugs

This is so pretty with the pot of geraniums and that sweet bunny! I bought my first Penny Black stamps at a Swap. I need to get it out and ink it up! It was 80° yesterday and supposed to be 85° today. I think we went from Winter to Summer! But it sure is getting pretty with the leaves popping out! Pollen has started too.

Hi Mary...now let's not spoil a good post about talking about the nasty cold front, I refuse to believe it's going to happen! I took off the winter bedding and switched to summer colors today and I'm not looking back! lol LOVE your cute little bunny card, it's an adorable image! Thank you SO much for visiting my blog, hugs and a wave from the hills of North Carolina ♥

This is so nice...that image is adorable and makes you just go awwwwww!

Great shading...I am impressed with those great hilights!
I an see how this stamp would get a lot of use...it is so nice!
Thanks for the kind comments...I had so much fun making that card...made me feel like I need to pay a little more attention to the insides of my cards!
I cut out a pop up card but i am still playing with it...have been making flowers again...for a headband and an extra one to match that I put a velcro button on...they are for that little girl next door...the extra one could either go on the party dress I gave her or on a purse.

Hi Mary,

Oh, I love this card. The image is so sweet; I love geraniums!

Hmm, we are getting snow here. I'm bummed. Although we do need all the moisture we can get.

Hugs,
Kay

Such a pretty card, Mary. I love the sleeping rabbit and you've made a lovely job of colouring the geranium/pelargonium leaves - they look the real thing :) The little bow is perfect - proving we should throw nothing away, even the smallest length of ribbon! I'd be delighted if the temperatures reached into the low 70s here ... we are still just short of double figures and I'm still wearing my thermals! And rain, we need rain, the ground is so dry and crumbly from all the frost there's been. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #41
