Good morning, lovely Bloggers. Today is the very last Christmas Card Club challenge for 2014. The theme of Non traditional Colors was chosen bythe lovely Margaret of Granmargarets Cards-n-Stuff. So here goes:
- Coordinations turquoise paper from the Vintage Collection (VOS) was embossed with a Crafters Companion Vintage Christmas Collection Embossalicious EF with an Ornaments design. Then sanded to bring out the core colors. Some ribbon from my sewing supplies (again, VOS) was hunted up to trim. The 2 sizes of width that I found in pink was not 'just the right shade of pink' to go nicely with the turquoise paper, so used an RV copic marker to change the color a bit. Also changed up the color of the small rose trim.
- Impression Obsession sentiment was cut from 2 snippets of white card stock, with the 3 & top layer being from a snippet of pink pattern paper. Adhered the layers, and colored with the same marker that colored the ribbon.
That's it - another easy peasy. Please be sure to check my fellow card club members challenge entries...you'll find their links over on the right side bar.
We're planning to head south to sunny Florida next week, so it's a scurry round here at our house to get things finished up, packed and ready to depart. Trying to get the last of the cards completed, mailed, and hope to get a few scheduled posts ready. In the meantime, have a wonderfully happy Sunday, and as always, thanks for visiting and spending a few minutes of your day with me. God Bless & big hugs. Come again when you can.
Just checked and it's Week 155 over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop Snippets Playground and the Playground will be open for 2 weeks...Since I do have a few snippets on this one (and guess the ribbons could rightly be called snippets too as it was pieces!) I think I'll just mosey on over & say Hello to my little buddy Bear, Parsnip. Won't you check out the Playground, and submit your snippets card as well? There's a bit of celebration going on, as well as keeping the Playground open longer..so who knows, you could be the lucky winner of some great prizes. Plus just enjoying meeting some lovely & talented crafters & getting some fabulous inspiration from the cards that are brought to the Playground. Do come if you can!
