The card today was made from a Papercut kit bought who knows how many years ago, at a stamp show. Found it when rooting around for something else - which I never found. The kit had all the supplies EXCEPT the stamp.
- Impression Obsession Stocking (K10006) which had a sentiment as part of the stamp set. I chose to leave off a front sentiment. Also colored the image according to the sample shown on the kit packaging, and it did NOT photo well at all. Actually the sample colors are rather pretty, but the picture doesn't show that. (Photography challenged operator is at fault). Colored on Copic Xpress white paper; the kit had cream paper, but decided not to use that. Image die cut with an MFT Xstitch die sized to fit the green mat.
- Forest Green, Gold mats included in kit-- cut out the center portions with a rectangle die, to be used for another project.
- Card base is a deep burgundy, and the insert liner is cream colored. A Christmas verse will be stamped inside. There just didn't seem to be a good place for a front sentiment and surely, everyone will know it's a Christmas stocking- LOL!
If you can, join the fun over at July's Rudolph Days and be inspired to add yet another card to your Christmas stash. Not many months remain to get a jump on this holiday, but ...hard to believe how fast 2016 is whizzing past, isn't it????
The kitchen tile is in progress today, and the 2 bathroom floors have been grouted. Progress is being made! Gosh, what will I have to 'talk about' once this mess is finished?
Thanks for joining me today, and Big Sunny Hugs!

This is gorgeous Mary and so beautifully coloured and love the colours of the matting and layering and the stamp is a good size and suits the cross stitch die you have used to cut the rectangle. Altogether a fabulous card and I think it works well on its own without a sentiment. I am only supposed to comment on the even number entries as a DT member but will thank you anyway for joining in the July Rudolph Days Challenge. x

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun challenge, Mary! I have popped on over and am following via Bloglovin'. Your card is AMAZING. Mary, I have looked all over and determined, at this time, that stamp is a bit pricy for me, but I plan to add it to my stash. REALLY PRETTY - but I think it is your coloring and shading that has hooked me! It's a delightfully festive piece, and just looks FUN!
ReplyDeleteYou must be thrilled for the tiling to be nearly complete. I bet your home looks WAY different with the different tiles. Sorry it has taken so long, but glad you see light at the end of the tunnel, sweet friend. Please take care of yourself, and know I am thinking of you fondly. love, de

ReplyDeleteHi Mary, Hope you get a cool down soon! What a gorgeous image & best to put the sentiment inside, I think! I finally remembered to cut out the center of a mat of my PTI cardstock since all I have is the sampler--2 sheets of each color.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This is such a pretty design, with delicate details. You've colored & layered it beautifully. I'm sure the pic does not do justice to your beautiful card. Mary, I will reply to you re a query you asked. Let me know if you receive the reply.

A beautiful card, which certainly confirms the Christmas sentiment without one, if that makes sense. Lovely colours and design. Love you cut the centre of your mats.
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about 2016, Oh! my goodness.
Glad to hear about the tiling and I'm sure there will be lots to "talk" about after it's finished :)
