Good evening. We had a quiet, but rather rainy & cool weekend. Finished up a card for the September Rudolph Day, while doing some other things that are in progress. Here is the Rudy Day card:
- Impression Obsession Cling G7683, colored with copics; Spica pens (on the scarf fringes) and WoS.
Stickles Star Dust was spread around the base of the couple for the snow. Die cut prior to coloring with a Sue Wilson die from the Noble Collection. The falling snow was from some bits of silver circles that were found in a Starform trim.
- HLS Mixed Christmas Sentiment set inked with versamark, heat embossed with Judikins Aegean Silver which created a glistening look. Used a class-leftover Starform Sticker to add a skinny border on the tag. Should have had the snow couple up just a tad, as the sentiment had to be tucked under - doesn't show quite as well as I'd like.
- Canson Mixed Media weight paper card front; inked several sizes of snowflake stamps and heat embossed with Ranger's Snowflake EP. (this did not give a silvery look, so when time to do the sentiment, changed to the Aegean Silver, which is very pretty). Sprayed Tattered Angels spray (found in our local Tuesday Morning for $2.49 - a good buy) had no name on it. The liquid is a pale blue, but if shaken, has a pretty silvery-blue shine. Oversprayed with BoBunny Frost, a bit of a darker blue, then resprayed the Tattered Angels again. Since it was 'on sale', I half expected the nozzle to be clogged, but it worked ok. Then while the piece was still wet, sprinkled some Cobalt Blue Brusho crystals over it, and used the Ranger Spritzer tool to move the puddles around. Liked the contrast of the darker background with the paler focal piece.
Why not add one more Christmas Card to your stash, and join in the fun over at September's Rudolph Day Challenge. There is a sparkling Memory Box snowflake for some lucky entry. Oops-- my mistake. There are TWO prizes this month!
We are heading to Florida on Tuesday, if we can get our ducks in a row tomorrow. Were not sure until the last minute if we'd make the trip. Thanks for joining me this evening, and have a great week.
Hugs.
