Hello, thanks for checking in, and back with one more Thanksgiving card (or this one could just be a fall card).
- card design was done with a PTI Triangle Trio Die. Very easy to make a card front with this pretty die. Embossed the papers after cutting, with various embossing patterns. The triangles didn't fit together perfectly (not sure they are supposed to, or if it be Operator Error). However, found some copper 'lines' from an outline sticker pack, and it covered the spacing just very nicely. If using colored c/s as the card base, this might not have been a problem
- Old Oak Leaves Whispers (DVW-276) die was cut from a snippet of white c/s, colored with copics.
- Die sentiment was cut from the same dp as was the bottom triangle of the card front.
We're having a crisp but sunny Sunday, and the cold front seems to have sent us air that is more clear this afternoon. The air quality varies from day to day. Hope your day is going just as you wish & need it to do. So glad you stopped by for a visit.
Hugs & Prayers to those of my blog friends are in need of either or both!
Edit: Thanks to Lisa for the heads up on the Scrapy Land Challenge Give Thanks to advise that since the card has used a Die-Versions die - it qualifies as an entry there. Thanks Lisa. (couldn't find this particular Die-Versions die to provide a specific link!)
It's the first time I see this triangle die used. Love it. And what a great mix of colors and patterns, love that you embossed them too. Lovely card!

Gorgeous and wow do I love the dies you used on this! That sentiment die is awesome too! What a great job mixing colors and papers on this, Mary! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe triangles make a wonderful base for those pretty leaves and acorns Mary, and the yellow and orange is a beautiful contrast to that bluey grey. I love the dry embossing too. We have had a calmer day today but the wind is going to be strong again tomorrow unfortunately. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great flow you have created on this card with the olours! Beautifull one! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty design using your triangle die. Three colours are so pretty together and the dry embossing adds some wonderful texture. Could be the dry embossing changed the shapes of your pieces so they didn't fit together perfectly. It's a happy accident as the copper strips are just perfect with the design. Love your pretty leaves and acorns. Great design Mary. xx
ReplyDeletePretty design & love the dry embossing, Mary!
ReplyDeleteOh Mary this is gorgeous - love the colours on the die cut over the lovely embossed background.

The different embossing in each of the triangle panels is great! Fabulous Fall colors and the strips of copper bring it together so nicely. Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving Mary!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn colours again Mary, love the triangle die shape and your "filling", beautiful acorn and leaves die. Gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteGlad the weather has improved for you

I am loving that background die you used Momma Mary! The papers and embossing looks great in each section. But it is that acorn and left die that I am do loving, so pretty and you have colored so well. I really thought at first that you cut it from pattern paper! Your sentiment works perfectly on this card. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThe triangle background is beautiful, I love how you finished it off with the line,, it gives a lovely professional finish - the die cuts on top are beautiful and I really like the bold sentiment! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun card design. I'm like the angles in the background. They go nicely with the leaves which are free flowing. Cool card.
ReplyDeleteLove the colouring on the acorns and leaves. The triangles may not have met properly because the embossing stretched the paper out of true - just a thought, they do make a great card base though.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Mary, such a fabulous design and lovely colours.
