Hello, and here it is the 25th of the Month. That means Rudolph Day! That's an Anything Goes as Long as it's Christmas challenge hosted by our Maureen, otherwise known as Scrappymoi. The challenge opens the 25th of each month and ends on the last day of that month. Maureen always has some nice prizes on offer, and lots of lovely people join in.
My card has snippets and left overs from this card.
- S/Binders Candy Cane die. Used the glitter white paper left from the Christmas Card Club one, ditto the red bits from cuttingthe red card stock.
Gine Marie frame die (sorry I can't find a link at the website so perhaps it's been discontinued) that has some holly flourish corners with the frame die. Used the flourish die, for the holly under the ribbon, and the ribbon is also part of this frame set.
- S/Binders Holly Ribbons E/F, and Wplus9 Hand letter Holiday die for the sentiment. There's 4 layers...2 white snippets colored red, a red snippet from the candy cane left overs, then a white glitter snippet. Tried to show the red as a shadow. Used up a lot of the snippets left from cutting the red and then white glitter candy cane shapes. YAY!
The aqua mat was cut with a S/Binder and was also in the snippet box. Just big enough to die cut and use behind the candy canes!
So okay, off to join June's Rudy Day, and hope to see you there! Thanks for visiting, & I'm still catching up, still trying to find files (where the new files go!) on this Windows 10 computer. I've learned about One Drive, and then learned I don't want to pay for extra storage. So downloaded a bunch of files I put on One Drive to an external hard drive. Windows 10 isn't using the file hierarchy that I've always used, and I'm finding I can't always create new folders when I want to, where I want to. I very much dislike having everything go into the Documents folder!
Since I have a good many snippets on this one, AND since I'm behind in commenting anyway, I think I'll jump to the Snippets Playground for challenge 329 - and say Hello to my little buddy, Parsnip. Another neat challenge where it's very easy to have something that gets you in the door...Just Have used Snippets (or scraps!). Miz Pixie also has some good prizes on offer too.
Come again, when you have time. Hugs & Blessings.
This is a great little Christmas card and I love the criss-crossed candy canes with a little red bow on them! The background embossing looks beautiful too! You might want to check out this challenge too - your card is perfect!

Lovely Christnas card may have to check out this challenge. I don’t like the tile system on Windows 10 but have shortcuts to all my things down the side like I did before.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteHappy Rudolf Days.
oh what a glorious card and snippets make too.
Such lovely candy canes and that white glittery paper is gorgeous and sets it off brilliantly.
Love the embossing and the red peeking out of the sentiment or sediment as Darnell would say. LOL.
That bow is quite sweet too.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of love and crafty hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.
Windows 10 and files have you tried right clicking your mouse on your home screen this usually brings up an option for a new file, and then you can name it.
Hope that is what you wanted.
Beautiful glittery candy canes.

The candy canes are so lovely and so is the offset 'joy' and the embossed card backing sets your design off so beautifully. Hope you get your Win 10 issues resolved, not something I have ventured into! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteCandy canes look fabulous and gorgeous colours..xx
ReplyDeleteHi Mary. Thank you for your comments on my card and becoming a follower. I have done likewise. Gorgeous colours on your card, great candy canes x

Beautiful card, Mary! If you need any Windows 10 help, feel free to email or message me (you can do both via my Google+ profile) xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou are on the ball Momma Mary! Another fabulous candy cane card, loving it so much! Nice to keep adding those Christmas cards to our stash as well. I also love that background embossing folder, so pretty. Glad you are going across the pond to play along with Pasnip's Challenge. I'm sure he and Di will be happy to see you along with the hedgies! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty Christmas card! I love the embossing and the candy canes! I have such a hard time trying to make Christmas cards this time of year! I've tried but just can't seem to get motivated. We sure got a rain last night! It poured and the wind blew and there was thunder, my plants loved it! We have started picking tomatoes and have been picking cucumbers and berries. We ate all of the lettuce. I have some nice bell peppers almost ready to pick and there are blossoms all over the cantaloupe plants.

so pretty, I do love the candy canes against the aqua background and the pretty ribbon with gems to the center, I have fallen behind on my Christmas cards
ReplyDeleteOh, you are the queen of embossing, that card is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOn the comment that you left on my blog, you asked about my kitchen. Check your email, I sent you a link.
Have a Happy 4th of July.
Connie :)
Love the colours on this card, Mary. I love aqua, red and white and have always wanted to do my tree in those colours!
ReplyDeleteYour card is very pretty and considering my last name, you know that I love Candy Canes at Christmas. When the girls were little I used to hang the small ones on the tree for treats.
The JOY sentiment used here is beautiful!
Thanks for taking part in the June Rudolph Days Challenge.
What a fabulous card Mary! I adore the design and the colours you've used are so fresh and bright as well. And, what a treat to see you in the Playground - Parsnip is quite made up!

What a beautiful card and color combo, like that candy cane die -who does not love candy canes!
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely Mary. The colours are fabulous and I love the candy cane xx
ReplyDeleteI really love aqua and red on a Christmas card ... and, of course, candy canes! This is beautifully executed, Mary! I love the texture!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteFabulous inlaid candy canes, Mary, and such a pretty card! I need to get started on my Christmas cards! It must be so difficult to learn a whole new OS on the computer. I hope you soon have it mastered. Very VERY humid here, and quite hot. At least it’s verdant and lush, with the oak trees beginning to recover from the hurricane last year. Hugs, de
ReplyDeleteBright and cheery card, Mary, love the colours and image, so good to see you in the playground .. I too am way behind in commenting. Blogger hugs and prayers too,
