Good evening, and welcome. Back with another Shamrock theme, and on this one, the background was created with 2 different cling background stamps.
- Hero Arts (CG671) Forest Floor Bold Prints inked with a bright green Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink and stamped onto a white card base.
- Simon Says Stamps Circle Doodle inked with a yellow Fluid Chalk, over stamped the bold prints.
- added a few little solid flower stamps using a yellow green ink at random places.
- S/B Celtic Cross die from last year, was embossed with an Mbossibility EF.
- Sparkle n Sprinkle Stamp Set 254 Irish colored with copics and WoS, die cut with MFT Xstitch circle die. Used a dewdrop green ink pad to color the edges.
- Sentiment stamped in green ink, heat embossed with a WOW silver EP.
Scallop stitched die created the bottom border from part of the trimmed off background. Not showing very well in the photo. Wish I had thought to add some ink around the top scallops and it would show better. Oh well.
Big hugs & prayers for those who are in need of same. Thanks for stopping in.
Very pretty and I love the background! Looks great and is perfect for St Patrick's day!

A great St Pat's card Mary, and I love the two background stamps you have used which work so well together. The pretty Celtic cross is enhanced so prettily with the embossing and the topper with the bunch of shamrocks makes a beautiful focal image. x

Hi Mary,
ReplyDeletewhat a very brilliant card, and that background is fantastic.
Love the celtic crosss, and what a great idea to emboss it as well.
Super sweet bouguet of shamrocks as well.
Love and big hugs from my house to yours.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
What a great blend of greens on your design! I love how all of the different elements tie together to make this a great St. Patty's card!! Good job! :) HUGS
ReplyDeleteYou made such a fun and interesting background. The little nosegay of shamrock flowers is so cute and the Celtic Cross adds to the St. Patrick Day theme. You have inspired me to make a couple of St. Patricks Day cards with my limited supplies for the grands.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done! I was just thinking that I needed to make some St. Patrick's Day cards. I find them hard to make as I don't have many SP stamps. My friend suggested that you can do just about anything in green and call it a Paddy card. I'm totally thinking of what I can do in green to prove her wrong (green cat, maybe).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mary, love your blending and the pretty image. I'm going to have to get the Welsh St David's Day better known LOL. So I'll see Green and Red!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Mary. I have a couple more green cards to make. I don't make many but I do send a few. Love the bouquet and the background. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous St. Patty's card Momma Mary! That background is so cool looking and I am loving it. I also love the celic knot and your image. This one is a winner for sure and you are doing better than me as I haven't made a St. Patty's day card yet! Hugs, Brenda
