I had done some cards that were mailed out, and since I know they've been received now, I'd like to share them this evening. These were sent to some of my VIP's - whom I feel so blessed to have met in Blogland.
The flower pots image is a Northwoods stamp, colored with copics, WoS and die cut with a Sizzix die. In #1 card, the background was created with Dylusions & other spray products, then after drying well, embossed with a folder. A S/B die created the lacey mat, and the sentiment was stamped and cut from the same design paper.
On the 2nd flower pot card, I used design paper, the reverse of the same paper for the MS border punching. The image was colored with copics, WoStella and just a tiny amount of DI distressing on the edges. I kept this card simple as it was international mailing, so not too many layers on it.
The center card: The PB Wildflower cling image was stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with Sparkle n Sprinkle Belgian Crème EP. Then sponged Distress Inks on #98 Canson Mixed Media paper, spritzed with a gold spray, Once this dried, the embossed area was wiped off with a baby wipe. The faux mat was cut from a snippet of another sprayed paper, that has some gleam to it. A script background stamp was inked with Memento Desert Sand, stamped on the card base and the sentiment stamped with a Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink that sort of matched the blue of the Distress Ink. I don't usually have success in trying to stamp with Distress Inks. They always seem 'too dry' to me to stamp, even though I've just reinked the pad.
So I hope you've enjoyed these cards. I had fun making them, and I hope the recipients enjoyed receiving them. They expressed some deep appreciation on my part for some lovely folks. That's it for tonight. Catch you later. Hugs & have a wonderful Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteAll 3 of these are so pretty, Mary! I love the white wildflowers against the beautiful background and the pots of herbs are colored beautifully! Sorry I haven't been around much. I'm having computer problems and it takes so long to load a page that it's cut into my time to comment. Hitting it when I can. Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying this wonderful fallish weather.

ReplyDeleteI really like the herb pot image and how you colored the pots. The background on the first card is lovely. The combination of colors you used to ink the second card is fabulous. A great batch of cards, Mary.
