DeeDee's Digi-s Grown with Love

Happy Sunday afternoon. It's been a lovely sunny day in our area, and a fairly quiet weekend. Got a few house chores done yesterday while DH was off to a local carshow, where he got sunburned. I _told_ him to be sure to use sunblock...Oh well!

Today's card has been in the making for a bit; just had to sit Self down to put it together. The DeeDee's Digi set is Grown with Love and is bound to be useful for those gardeners that are on your card list. Most of the images in this set were fussy cut. I had enough to make 2 cards, and here's the one shared this afternoon. Hope you like it.

- Seed packet and flower pots dumped on the grass are from the set. Actually the seed packet looks a bit too large for the wheel barrow, but wanted the face of it to show well.

- IO Die165-H for the wheelbarrow, cut from a white snippet and colored to be cheery using Copics.

- MB flower pots from white snippet and tucked in the wheel barrow.

- MB simple hummingbird die was cut from a snippet of Dylusions sprayed paper. His bill was colored with the Staedtler fine line pens, and then used the black to free hand some feathers.

- IO Die156-H birdhouse - white snippet colored with Copics. The red heart was colored red, then added some WoS & added back in the opening. The elements are not proportional, but I like all of 'em on here anyway. I think it's a Happy card.

- Grass was done with various Copic greens, just flicking the blade strokes.

- Background was a previously done Dylusions background piece that I thought would look ok, as it had greens, blues & yellows - just like a summer day.

- Misti used to stamp the Inky Antics sentiment, from Magnificent Men. I think this might be DH's Dad's day card, if I don't manage to get another one done before the day. He really IS my hero - Most of the time anyway!

Since I do have quite a few Snippety bits on this one, and since there is a new week (177) at the Snippets Playground), I think I shall just zip over the pond to say Hello to little Parsnip. Won't you join us?

Also do yourself a favor and check out the wonderful digis that are available, both to International and USA shoppers at DeeDee's Digis. There is still time to enter the monthly challenge that ends May 31. Remember, you have until May 31 to share your own creation made with this set and link it up to the challenge post in order to receive next month's featured set for FREE.

Another one from the Rogues' Gallery! Can't you see they are having a good time?

And I'll close with a joke...hope it gives you a little smile. Come again when you can. God Bless

The Power of Believing in One's Friends

A contestant, Sally, on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' had reached the  final plateau.
If she answered the next question correctly, she would win $1,000,000.
If she answered
incorrectly, she would pocket only the $25,000 milestone money.

And as she suspected it would be, the million-dollar question was no
pushover. It was,
'Which of the following species of birds does not build  its own nest but instead lays its eggs
in the nests of other birds?

Is it:

A) the condor

B) the buzzard

C) the cuckoo

D) the vulture

The woman was on the spot. She did not know the answer. She had used up her 50/50 Lifeline
and her Ask the Audience Lifeline. All that remained was  her Phone-a-Friend Lifeline. She hoped
she would not have to use it because her friend was, well, blonde. But she had no alternative.

She called her friend and gave her the question and the four choices.

The blonde responded unhesitatingly:  'That's easy. The answer is C: the cuckoo.'

The contestant had to make a decision and make it fast. She considered
 employing a reverse strategy
and giving Meredith any answer except the one that her friend had given her. And considering her
friend was a blonde that would seem to be the logical thing to do. But her friend had responded

with such confidence, such certitude, that the contestant could not help but be convinced.

'I need an answer,' said Meredith.

Crossing her fingers, the contestant said, 'C: The cuckoo.'

'Is that your final answer?'

'Yes, that is my final answer.'

And Meredith replied, 'That answer is.... Absolutely correct!

You are now a millionaire!'

Three days later, the contestant hosted a party for her family and friends,

 including the blonde who
had helped her win the million dollars.

'Joni, I just do not know how to thank you,' said the contestant. 'How did you happen to know the
right answer?'

'Oh, come on,' said the blonde... 'Everybody knows that cuckoos don't build nests. They live in clocks.'

Sally fainted...........................
