Hi there, and welcome. It's time for the month's Rudolph Day Challenge. Before we get to the card, however, I'd like to say a big welcome to KathyJo from I'm a Little Teapot . Isn't that the cutest blog name? Please take time to pop over and say Hello to KathyJo and enjoy some of her splendid projects. Am loving seeing some new friends' faces in the followers' list...it's been a while since I met some new folks. Love it!
Now, off to July's Rudy Day card:
This one has some snippets (from this card)...those snippety bits come in handy. The tree was the positive die cut, and the tiny corners as well. The EK Success punched border was a small snippet of the same gold swirl paper. Decorate with pearls, and already have a good start on a Rudy Day card.
- An MFT stitched curvy die cut pieces from a 6x6 Paper Studio Gifts of Gold foil pack purchased recently on sale. Are you like me, you already have tons of paper, but when you find a sale, your hand automatically reaches for 'just one more' pack?
- Impression Obsession die cut sentiment - same gold snippet paper. Call it done.
Hope you will join in with the July Rudolph Day, and play along. There is a wonderful Memory Box die as this month's prize.
Have a great day, and big hugs!
Beautiful card and love all the shaped layers

You are doing well with the Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your day. Sue
I'm addicted to DPs, so I do know what you mean. I love my papers, I and I don't throw anything away. So I've got lots of snippets, but like with your card, I find them come in handy. I especially like paper piecing using smaller bits, I make panels, die cut details,... The possibilities are endless. But nothing beats the feeling of cutting into an untouched paper...Your card looks lovely with the mix of golden papers and elements, it gives your card an elegant look.
ReplyDeleteLovely Christmas card, Mary. I love the curvy background you've created. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely Mary and I think all the different gold snippets work together perfectly and the MS border and pearls finish it so prettily. x
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, love your golden tree and the lovely paper in the background, beautiful card, hugs Kate x

ReplyDeleteYes, I do have tons of paper, some I use and some I just cannot bring myself to use - I just stroke it... lol. Your card is beautiful Mary, the gold papers work beautifully together. Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely snippets card. They are my faves at the moment as it feels so good to use up those leftover little bits of DP and card. The gold makes your card very elegant indeed.
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to paper as well. I try to buy all my Christmas paper when it goes 89% off at my local scrapbook store. That is usually in mid January, but that means my Xmas paper is always last years... drat!
But I am a sucker for glimmery papers and will splash out for those all year if I see a bargain...teehee i am such a cheapskate!
Thanks so much Mary for taking part in the July Rudolph Days Challenge.
Love that gold foil! I usually slap the hand that's reaching but in this case I'd get it! Gold makes such an elegant card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas card Mary, love your golden tree and fantastic background .

ReplyDeleteYou are having so much fun with those dies and snippets! I love the gold paper and the pearls are just beautiful! Love the entire scene you have created. I am not sure what you are talking about- too much paper? Hehehehe I do not need any more until I use a few 'snippets' myself!

Hello, Mary! I love your Rudolph Day card! The gold looks amazing and I must remember to deviate from my red and green scheme that I tend to reach for when I make my Christmas cards! I just love the look of the gold - so elegant especially in the die-cut greeting! Gorgeous card!
