- Brusho background (yellows, orange and a little green with some gold spray), die cut with S/Binders Labels 40 Decorative Accents
- Image inked with Versamark, stamped onto the previously created brusho background, then embossed with Ranger's Queen's Gold. I like the look of the gold embossing, but as with the white embossing, the fine details of the stamp are lost. I also liked the way the orange-y colors seemed to create a bit of glow in the central portion of the arrangement. That was pure serendipity, which I noticed only in the photo. Sure didn't see it on the card itself!
- Elizabeth Craft sentiment die cut 3 layers of white snippets, which were then colored with the Pentel gold pen. A few tiny gold pearls, and this card was in the mail. Our sweet neighbor gifted me with a lovely circular monogram wooden hanger for the newly painted front door. It's awaiting a light sanding, then spray paint, and some summer flowers wired onto it. Then it will grace the bright red door.
Thanks for popping in for a little visit. Hope that your Sunday afternoon is going just super. Blessings & hugs. Come again when you can.
You're getting some mileage out of that stamp!

Very nice card and I love that die piece. Sorry I was MIA for so long. Hopefully I'm back on a regular schedule now. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe image looks beautiful in this shade as well. I don't think it matters that the details disappear, it gives it a a very nice and effective blurry look.
ReplyDeleteooooh! How pretty, Mary! Love that splash of orange in the center - like Nature is bursting with energy and love! hugs, de

ReplyDeleteI love the background made with Brushos. The die you used for the background certainly makes a great frame for the embossed poppies. A really great card!

Another beauty Mary, I can see you are loving playing with those Rubbernecker stamps, I'm pretty smitten with them as well and they come out time and again.
ReplyDeleteOff to hospital again this morning as own dentist feels it will be best dealt with there. The third type of antibiotics seems to be working at long last so I expect they will decide on an 'exit' plan today as the specialist last week felt things had gone too far to save the ones with failed root canals. So long as it's sorted before our hols I will be happy.

What a fab effect.

Another beautiful card Momma Mary! I love this one as much as I love the white one with the beautiful brusho background. The background on this is stunning and looks so beautiful with the gold of the flowers. It does give a nice glow behind the flowers! I love the tiny pearls and the SB shape. Your neighbor is so sweet to give you a circular monogram wooden hanger for your beautiful red door! Can't wait to see it, so I hope you share it once it is hanging. Hugs, Brenda

Gorgeous....just gorgeous. I love how you use this stamp!
ReplyDeleteI can see this stamp is a favourite! I do not know what the Ranger embossing powder's are like but wondered if the detail is lost because they are not fine enough and whether a fine detail powder would work. It still looks great with out the detail, as if it is the shadows in the sunrise/sunset glow.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say those do look like poppies. You're right.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is just so fresh looking. Reminds me of the times we spent in North Carolina. I hope you'll hop over to my blog sometime. I offer free digis 24/7.
