Blogger Engineering is aware of several problems with
Following / Google Friend Connect / Reading List, and is working on solutions.
Please note that all problems with Following may not be
under their control. Some problems start with you, and with your computer
(or your potential Followers computers).
As I was reading through the threads, I saw lots of complaints about this same problem, so I'm flattered I received any kind of reply. I was in a good enough mood to be amused with the last statement that the problem may be with me, my computer or my followers' computers. Well, yeah, could be. So he can give me some suggestions to try for a fix, aside from those I've tried awready. Just coincidence that so many of us are having the same problems, though, doncha think? Huh? Anyway....
Here's a card to share, that has no sentiment, so it can be for whatever it needs to be. It was a pretty easy one, aside from one little blip.
The little blip was I used a S/B die (don't remember which, but think it was one of the 'gold sets') - and I liked the cut out design. However, the cutout stayed within the cardstock, did not produce the circle that I thought the die would cut. (operator boo-boo & ignorance). So left it alone for a few days, hunted up the MFT pierced circle, and one size just did fit the circle. Voila...here it is. There's some shiny gold mirror behind the circle.- card front is from a 99cents pack purchased on clearance at our local Tuesday Morning. I thought the pack had 12 sheets - it did - but they are all the same sheet! Cut off the portion I needed, which has some light brown script in the very light lavender base. Used Delicata Gold and Impression Obsession CAC Script stamp to add some more script in gold.
- border is a S/B border set purchased recently at AC Moore for $10 - 5 narrow borders, so thought that was a good buy. The little hearts are punchouts from the design.
This cardstock is burgundy, but the photo is making it look red. I thought the burgundy & gold looked nice against the pale lavender. Added a few pearls, and boom, it's done.
Ya'll have a nice afternoon. We had to rise early this morning for an 8am dr. appt. for DH. As you will remember, I don't "do" early, so a nap is on my afternoon's agenda. Hope you can sneak in a nap too. Thanks for visiting, and Hugs.
This is lovely Mary and it looks great in red :)
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they sort out the problems soon....

Lovely card and see you have used the little hearts from the border punch. Go to the top of the class!!
ReplyDeleteI had a dentist appointment today at 11am and that was still too early!!!! I so do not do mornings. (well unless it counts that I don 't go to bed till4/5 am.
Hugs Mrs A.
Burgundy and gold OR red and gold - either one goes great together! Love this card Mary! That die blip turned into a winner!

The pierced circle is so pretty, Mary, and so is the gold behind it. The little heart border is very sweet, too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't accomplished much today. After house cleaning, I tried to do a card but it hasn't work so far. :-(
I'll have to start over.
This is a lovely card Mary with that cute cut out die, and I love the heart border, it would be great for an anniversary card, and the little hearts make pretty accessories. I have to admit that I am like Mrs A and a bit of a night owl, and certainly not good at being anywhere too early in the morning like you Mary. I'm sure my DH thinks I am the only one with these strange night time habits but it's nice to know I am in good company. x
ReplyDeleteLove this openwork circle and the lavender, burgundy and gold are a wonderful color combo! I saw on Darnell's blog today that she had a suggestion and I found that it worked for me. Hopefully, Blogger will get it all sorted out soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Mary, I love it!!

Very special and very different card Mary. Wow you are kicking booty. Great coloring.
ReplyDeleteMy problem got solved the day after I threatened to go to a competitor rather than put up with any more lack of caring for customer needs. Everything was restored. I do know the problem was a multi issue and told them so.
This is so beautiful, Mary!! I love the gold behind the design!! It really makes it pop!! The papers are beautiful!! The heart border is so fabulous!! What an awesome card!! Have a great evening :)

Another beautiful card Mary, and as other have said it shows red and gold but will still be as beautiful in the burgundy. That often happens that you go to all the work of choosing the colours to do a card yet when you photograph it it turns out totally different, but as I said the red and gold still work. Blogger has got that big google just don't know how to deal with it. Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteYou are very gracious Momma Mary, I sure hope they get these problems resolved. Yes, some of it could be from our computers and such, but I'm not thinking so since so many are having the same problems. Your card is simply gorgeous! I love the SB you used and I love the gold mirror paper behind it-really pops! That other paper you used is so pretty too, loving the punched border and love that you used the little hearts leftover. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun die cut and colors Mary.
ReplyDeleteHugs Diane
Great card Mary...Love that intricate paper pierced love within the die. Pretty look to have the gold mirri shine through.
ReplyDeleteBlogger is driving me crazy too. I can only comment once on a blog. Then if I try to comment on a second post, I can't...Drag! Off to check Darnel's blog info on it...
Love the circle die, Mary. I agree that it's beautiful no matter the color:) Blogger is driving folks crazy, that's for sure. Hope your issues are totally resolved soon. (I am totally a morning person who married a night owl.)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty your red and white card is Mary! Maybe some problems are the ISP or computer, but Blogger's Friend Connect has been working as it should be for the past 36 hours - Just FYI - huggers, de
ReplyDeletePretty card! You came up with a good fix to get the circle cut out. I love the gold card behind it, it really makes it stand out.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Mary and you used one of my favorite color combos. We were in South Carolina yesterday. Went to see my son and daughter-in-law in Anderson and had a very nice lunch with them then went on to a furniture store Greenville. We left yesterday morning by 9:30 and did not get home until 7:30 that night. We were both bushed!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a pleasant weekend. The weather sure is nice up here!

Isn't it dreadful how no one takes responsibility for errors or glitches in this day and age? I find that everywhere and no matter how politely you complain, you're almost always thought to be the one who's wrong! Sheesh! Hopefully blogger soon figures it out. It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be a conflict with a MS update! I've had that more often than I care to mention!
ReplyDeleteYour card is a real beauty with that red medallion, and I bet the mirrored gold cardstock behind it looks dazzling IRL! I buy from Tuesday Morning often and share with a friend! We split whatever we buy with each other, because all the packs are usually identical items inside.
Enjoy your weekend and hopefully your blogger issues are soon resolved!
Fantastic card! TFS....
ReplyDeleteGreat card I love the gold shining through really makes the card pop - Nicky
