Halloween

Welcome to my newest followers. So happy to have you join me here, and I'll hope that you like what you see & read. Here's another (yawn!) Halloween card...nearly got 'em all made for the folks on our list. So on to the card: The stamp is a Penny Black stamp recently purchased from eBay (no bargains did I get either! but I did nab some nice stamps). This one is Feathered Witch, colored with copics. The background is a textured purple, one side dark, the textured side is a bit lighter & somewhat metalic looking. I embossed with a Darice spiderweb folder, after first inking with Gray Flannel Momento ink. Used a S/binder oval to cut out the chick, airbrushed the background with B & BG 0000's, while still in the die. The bottom strip was from some MS adhesive paper (ah, a snippet!) as was the sentiment, which was a last moment decision. Stamped with Momento Tangelo, used Black Diva Pearl to make the trim. The orange ribbon is also a snippet left from another project. I didn't get the purple background quite as far as it should have gone. Alas the adhesive was stuck fast, so I had to scrounge up something to hide the bit of white peeping through on the left side of the card. I have a sis-in-law who likes chickens, has some really cute home dec things that bespeak 'chickens', so guess who will get THIS card! Only fair, as their anniversary card was more geared to my brother, so now it's HER turn! Hope you like this one.  I think I'll dash over to the Playground, and see if they saved me a pink hardhat....

  5. Fabulous Mary! I bet Sarnand Sam would love this stamp, so don't put it into your pocket to take to the playground - where it seems that mayhem rules right now.

I said Hi to Kay for you, she's a star and you'd love to meet with her.

Hope the heel is coming along OK, hugs, Di xx

  6. Mrs A . . . really! That "duck" is a "chicken" . . . did something drop on your hard hat and muddle your brain?

Cute card Mary . . . Miss Di is right . . I love it! Except we don't celebrate Hallowe'en over in the UK like you do over the pond.

    Hugs
