Halloween

Hello on this September 1st. Welcome to a new follower, Dianne, of The Mouse in the Corner. It would be so sweet if you could take a few minutes, pay Dianne's blog a little visit, and leave a little love. You'll also enjoy some lovely projects too.

Here's a card to share today. I didn't make this one, DH did. He's been at the desk, stamping, having me hunt up supplies; stamping, asking me "Where is _____. How do you do _____?" and while I'm tickled to have him take a new interest in making cards, I just have to step back and be the hunt & fetch person. (can't get too upset with him cause I can't find stuff in the mess either, and I'm the one who messed up the place!). Plus there's only room for one of us at the desk..we both tend to scatter out all over the place!

This is a fairly simple card, as the stamp is a large Stampendous Cling stamp, which he selected on our visit to Absolutely Everything in New England. He stamped it on basic white paper, I added the sponging with DI colors of Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, then Mr. cut around the edges with some deckled scissors. He added the label on the top hat and the poison bottle in the ghoul's hand. A tiny black bat & spider finished it off. The image is mounted on a black cardbase.

Hope you like it. Halloween is DH's holiday for card making. He used to get involved in the Christmas card effort, but got disinterested for a while. Hopefully this Halloween flurry might get him enthusiastic in making Christmas cards again. Enjoy & thanks for the visit. Come again when you can. Hugs

  1. I am really impressed. Mr Scrappymo has never made a card. He glances at them and always dutifully says "oh, that's nice" and that is as far as his interest goes.
Oh...if it is for one of his friends then he looks it over a little more carefully...probably looking for errors!!! lol
Your DH did a wonderful job...he is a pro. Love that he placed the little fussy cut details on his card!

My Scrappymo likes getting involved in scrapbooking...he likes me to make the pages but have him peruse them before glueing the photos down. He has a better memory then me and he makes sure i have the right photos for the right day!
He is also the brains behind my journalling! lol

  6. Hi Mary, what a fun card! Your DH did a great job! Mine is involved in suggesting ideas for my layouts and often he'll comment that the sentiment is too small! (We both wear glasses!) Cathy x
