Good morning. Back with another Halloween card, made from a cute Penny Black image.
- the image is PB 3 Headed Monster, colored with copics. Easy coloring as far as the image goes, _BUT_ the paper I used was a LaBlanche Specialty paper, supposed to be good to use with copics. This particular piece felt very slick, almost a glossy type finish, but didn't look glossy. It didn't color 'easy' as does Xpress paper or the Neenah. I used 'stroke' colors because the usual recommended copic circle technique did not look at all nice. When I did a 2nd coat with stroke movements, I liked it a bit better. I have used the LaBlanche speciality papers before and liked them, but sure didn't like this particular piece. Didn't blend well either. Adding the google eyes was DH's idea.
-S/Binder die cut frame is from a very thin glitter paper from a 6x6 American Crafts pack. It's easier to use punches on this lightweight paper.
- punkin Jack o' Lantern is an MS punch from the same paper pack, with a snippet of yellow behind the face.
- S/Binders Fancy Framed Tags One, with SU Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Memento Canteloupe with some added orange rhinestones.
DH says to thank ya'll for the nice comments on his Halloween cards. He enjoyed reading what folks had to say. No, he doesn't want to start a blog & yes he enjoys making Halloween cards, as long as I don't start giving him advice on how to make the card! :-) .
Ya'll have a nice day, and thanks for visiting. Will try to have a non-Halloween card tomorrow...Hugs!
Cute Halloween card. Sorry about the coloring dilemma. But, in the end, it all turned out great.
