Koi Fish and bubbles

Hiya, and TGISaturday! Welcome and welcome to a new follower, Migdalia of Crafting with CreativeM . Thanks for joining here, and I hope you will have time to check out Migdalia's wonderful blog. It's so lovely to see a new 'face' in the followers' list.

Here's a card I've had finished for a bit, using those yummy Ryn stamps. The background was made with Dylusions sprays - diluted - sprayed over a stencil.

- The Koi, seahorse and rising bubbles are stamps from here.  You have to use these lovely stamps in order to appreciate how wonderful they truly are. (And this is just my own endorsement). I want to try using Versamark and some embossing on these babies - but just haven't gotten around to it as yet.

- the foliage at the bottom was the top of a Stampscape tree stamp and bush that I've had for a while, as I've not yet ordered the seaweed or coral stamps that Ryn has available.

- on the sprayed background, used Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise, diluted with water, mixed with white linen, then sprayed over a stencil onto Canson #90 w/color paper. I blotted this with a paper towel roll to try to keep a bit of the texture. I've learned that drying with another piece of cardstock will net a beautiful 2nd background, but it also loses the texture from the sprays. At least it has when I've done that. Maybe there is a better way than I've been doing this & I don't know it yet! Open to anyone's suggestions, though.

- Frame is a glitter from a 6x6 American Craft pad, lightweight, cut with a S/Binder rounded rectangle. Think it was one of the Card Creator Rectangles..but -- I forgot to write down the specs. If ever anyone should want to know more details - I'll be happy to look it up and add an edit. Just leave a comment.

I did some much needed in-house chores yesterday while the DHster was gone to an all day car show. Today, I'm just trying to finish up, then - oh boy - hope to do some blog surfing. Ya'll have a fun day.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you're having a lovely Sat.Hugs

  3. You make the best backgrounds with your sprays and stencils. Good way to get the foliage at the bottom, too. Very pretty!
I've been finishing up a little housecleaning this a.m. before leaving for the ball game. It's a night game and that I like.
