Hello and Welcome to Mary Anne, http://lakesidestamping.blogspot.com/, a new follower. I think there are a few more as I saw the Followers number increase, but I've not been able to find out just who it is. Usually a new follower 'face' will appear in that section as a new addition, and I add the name to my database (for blog candy consideration, you know!); but I'm going to have to compare one by one, the follower's section with my database so that I know who everyone is. There's a difference in my spreadsheet numbers and what I see here. But I'll get that done before blog candy is offered again. So please do take time to surf by to check Lakeside Stamping for some swell inspiration.
Here's the card for today:
- image is Wildlife by Sweet Stamps, colored with copics on Xpress paper, die cut with S/B Opulent Ovals, smudged at the edges with DI Evergreen Bough while still in the die. Pearl trim was white, colored with R56. This was an easy fun image to color . When Sweet Stamps debuted this image and a couple of other pretty bird images, I got an email from the company, but I also got several emails from stamp friends who know I love birds telling me about a cardinal stamp. Yep, I bought 'em all (4)! This stamped image went along with me on our Florida trip, so I had to hunt up the stamp to give the specs.
- Cardbase is white, the black shown here was the photo background. Papers were DCWV metallic 12x12 stack purchased at a Michael's in Florida. Embossed with Sizzix Birds & Reindeer set; there is a large leaf motif and 3 smaller folders. I used Delicata gold on a dauber to enhance the raised motifs.
- Cream lace from stash to hide the paper join.
- SU sentiment on a snippet using DI Evergreen Bough, punched with a large SU oval. Roses were from a sale pack, sprayed with Dylusions Firebox Red, Tattered Angels gold & Moonbeam.

Beautiful Christmas design Mary! Love the birds on a branch, you have coloured them so well. Great work! Have a wonderful week, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Mary - and your colouring is amazing.
ReplyDeleteRe. the followers. Not all new followers are added at the 'top' of your list - if they don't have a blog image I'm pretty sure they get added to the end of your list - you'll see it shows just as a grey head and shoulders silhouette. That might explain things?
Hugs, Di xx

This is such a stunner Mary. Chickadees have always been one of my most favorite birds. When we lived in central Oregon, they would eat out of my hand :'''( I sure miss them and hearing the chicka-zee-zee-zee. I appreciate you stopping by my blog and commenting on my cards, too. Yes, now I remember the waxy part of the coke candies! We used to chew them up and spit them out in the trash, too! Thanks for the help down memory lane!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteJust had to pop over and say that your card is so beautiful. What a FANTASTIC image. Chickadees are so sweet and you did a great job making them the lovely focus of your card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Crafting Musketeers! Good luck!
Also, Craftin Desert Divas has Anything Goes the next two weeks if you wanted to enter this beauty into the challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card. The way you have separated your background is one of my favorite types of cards. .So you had me with your background and then you added this lovely image so nicely colored, add in the lace and flowers and I'm hooked. Seriously, this is a wonderful, eye pleasing card. I came to your lovely blog by the way of Lynn. I'm so glad she linked us up to you. I will now be following you so I can have another great source of inspiration. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, such a pretty image, love it!
