Birthday

Finally Friday...the weekend is here!!! I have a card tonight which is for a friend's Mother-in-law - who will soon celebrate her 100th birthday. Had some bubble gum pink cardstock, which was quite bright, so I covered it with vellum which had been embossed with a Sizzix emb. folder. The adhesive was still visible at the edge of the card, so used the MS Lace punch on some pink plaid paper to cover that. Used a Spellbinder Oval to diecut the sentiment, embossed the sentiment with Ranger's Queen's Gold. In my opinion, this is the prettiest of the golds to emboss. This piece looked a bit 'blah', so put the diecut back in the die, used some Distress Ink Spun Sugar to sponge around the edge of the die. Liked the look better. This is a fairly simple card, and I have to find an appropriate sentiment for the inside, get it mailed in time for this lady's birthday. Thanks for checking in. Have a great weekend.
