Christmas Card Club - Challenge 17 - Nativity

Welcome to another Christmas Card Club post....today our group has the challenge theme Nativity - which was chosen by Margaret.

A piece of previously created brusho background came in handy. This piece was done by placing cling film over a wet brusho background, leaving it to dry.

- Penny Black manger die (51-254), die cut with sookwang tape over white c/s, then Ritz Silver microfine glitter applied. Cut the brusho piece to fit behind the circle ornament.

- SU Watercolor Winter for branches & pinecones, using 2 shades of green, with some brown for the pinecones and brown on the branches.

- SU Bells & Boughs for the sentiment

- Crafter's Companion Spirit of Christmas EF

Please take time to visit my fellow Club members whose blogs are listed in the right side bar.
And have an absolutely wonderful Sunday! Hugs & Blessings, and thanks for visiting.

  4. Your nativity scene overlaying the brusho cling film background is so beautiful. What a great idea to use the sook wang tape for the glitter. I will have to try to remember this idea! It gives your nativity such a beautiful contrast to the bauble background.

  22. This is a gorgeous card Momma Mary! I love how your nativity scene turned out and love that it is an ornament hanging down from the pine branches. So pretty, so organic and so Christmas! Love the piece of brusho you created-makes for a great night sky! I also love the soft embossing of the deer and trees-I would have never thought to use an embossing folder this way, but it works and looks amazing! You knock this challenge out the park! Hugs, Brenda
