Welcome back for another bunny card. This one is a Nellie Snellen clear Hoppies image, called Little Sailor. This image didn't color quite as easily as the Sweet Stamps Tulip Bunny, but it was operator error I have to confess. Thought I had piece of Xpress snippet as I stamped the image, but once I began to color, I realized it was GP which, for me, does not color well. So I had to be super careful of the pressure on the marker as I colored, and also, this paper will not blend as well for me - as does the Xpress or Neenah. I didn't want to restamp & start over, so kept on coloring. The white showing around the edges is the background for the photo. Card base is the offwhite layer showing, covered with a blue texture c/s from a 6x6 pack.
- Little Sailor image is matted with the MFT Pierced Rectangle Stax die, background colored with copic G0000. Just realized I didn't anchor this little sailor, so will have to go back & color in some grass for him to stand upon.
- C/Lynn XM-18 Nesting Eggs die for the egg and bunny. Bunny raised on dimensional foam, as was the sentiment.
- S/B A2 Bracket Borders One for the card edges, and the yellow bottom border (a snippet)
- inside trim is cut with a Bracket border (curved shape faces inward), and embossed with a C/Bug EF.
- Impression Obsession sentiment stamped with Memento Bahama Blue, punched with an SU oval punch.
Another Easter card ready for the insert to be added. Ya'll enjoy the evening, and as always, thanks for stopping to visit. Hugs.
Oh what a super image, so very cute, great colouring and a fabulous card.

ReplyDeleteAnother adorable image and to my eye, it looks perfectly blended! Love that bit of yellow added in!
ReplyDeleteHe's precious and colored just like a bunny should be! Fun colors on the rest of the card too. Don't you just love those pierced rectangles! I have the rectangles and circles and wouldn't trade for them. Fun to work with.

That bunny is so cute. I really like how you have the piercing around the rectangle echoed on the brackets. Adorable card. And thanks for the sweet comment you left on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYOu did a great coloring job on the GP! I don't have much luck coloring on that either. I just adore those curvy borders with all the piercing as well as that pierced rectangle! I'm adding that gem to my wishlist :) Wonderful bunny details on this cute card!
ReplyDeleteWoa! You are getting good with those pens. Nice coloring. Nice card to go with that bunny too. Actually, the truth be told. CRAZY GOOD.

You have done a fantastic job Mary, despite the paper!! What a sweet image...the ears poked through the hat did it for me!! xx
ReplyDeleteVery cute card! Great job on coloring, dear Mary :)
ReplyDeleteCute as a bunny. LOL. You made out very well with coloring on the GP paper. I really like your little die cut bunny and all of your touches to make this card an real eye pleaser. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card!! Cute bunny
ReplyDeleteThe little sailor bunny is gorgeous, I love how his ears stick up from the hat, he is just so cute. Your colouring is fabulous too despite your trials and tribulations! Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteAwww, he is so cute Momma Mary! It doesn't look like you had a hard time with coloring him, but that is the difference between someone like me and a pro! Even though I'm not a pro a the coloring I don't like coloring on GP either. I love the "stitched" lines on the rectangle and the curved lines on the side. The little piece of embossing peeking out looks so good. Love the border, bunny and egg and the color combo of this card. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a '40's bunny, such a fabulous image, Love your little bunny silhouette too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is the cutest little bunny sailor ever. I just love your card. I see you're still enjoying those curved brackets. Me, as well. Love your bunny at the bottom, too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is just darling. I love the colors and all the die details.
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet little bunny image, and I love the pretty edge and the embossed under edge all on that lovely blue colour card. A very pretty Easter card Mary. x

He's a sweetheart and the card design is neat, with its fun edge and embossing peeking out. I think he looks colored well, but I know what a chore it can be when you get the inferior paper.
ReplyDeleteMary he is adorable. I cannot see where you were having any problems with blending on the GP paper. I think you did a great job. He is such a cutie. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell dang I don't know if my post went through, so if it is there twice, so sorry. :-) Anyway I was saying how cute this card was and I didn't see where you had any problems using the GP paper. Great job. You amaze me by getting cards done to post everyday. It is all I can do at times to get mine ready for my DT challenges in time. LOL Love that cute image too. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary, this is the most darling card I've seen. The bunny image is so cute and coloured brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteI love your embellishments especially the little die cut bunny.
