1st card |
Good afternoon and thanks for surfing into my little corner of the world. Here are the 2 class cards from the Ritz Glitter class I took Saturday at Scrapbook Creations in Spartanburg, SC. As you can see, the images & layouts are identical. We used Elizabeth Craft Outline stickers, shimmer sheetz & Ritz Glitter. Supplies were provided, so I don't know the specifics with regard to colors, etc. In the 2nd example, we lifted the outline of the sticker (very carefully I might add!) after doing the transfer paper, Sookwang procedures. (There are plenty of Youtubes illustrating this technique...search Ritz Glitter if you're interested in seeing a video). We adhered that to some white cardstock, and set aside. Next we used the remaining part of the image, adhered that to white cardstock, trimmed, added to a black rectangle. That was set aside, while we worked with the shimmer sheetz. We cut a strip of the shimmer, embossed with an Embossing Folder. This was adhered to some transfer sheet used in the glitter process, brayered with a roller (firmly, but gently). I won't go into all the details, but the final product in this process is a sticky sheet which has the top layer of the shimmer sheetz, which you then sprinkle the very fine Ritz glitter over. This was trimmed to fit a rectangle of cardstock that we adhered to the turquoise cardfront. Strips of black trim adhered next, then the black & white piece with the sticker. A very pretty card I think.

2nd card |
Next we returned to the remaining part of the outline sticker. We glittered the outline sticker which was on the Sookwang (very sticky paper if you're unfamiliar with this product). We used plain white glitter, but you could have used different colors of glitter for the different parts of the image. Since we had done only the white, we used copic markers to gently color the white glitter. We followed a similar process as described above, to finish off the card. I think each card is very pretty, yet each has a different technique and different look. I enjoyed the class and even though it's the 3rd class of this type I've taken, each class has used a different technique with the Ritz Glitter. Thanks to Scrapbook Creations for hosting the class and Anita for being so patient and such a good teacher!! Hope all my USA followers had a wonderful holiday yesterday. Catch you later.
