Birthday

Good morning, and welcome to 2 new followers. KathyK  and MagsB. Hope you'll give these delightful blogs a lookin...each has some beautiful projects to enjoy.  I believe there are more followers in the Bloglovin section as well, but I don't know how to look at that to see who it is. So welcome to ALL the new followers. I'm so pleased you liked what I post enough to follow! Thank you!

Here's the card for today (which I meant to post yesterday afternoon, but took a very long nap instead! My early mornings caught up.)

-  Northwoods stamp, colored with copics, probably last year on one of our trips. The green fronds have Spica pen highlighting on the seed pods. After assembling the card, I decided to add some Stickles just on the fronds, and IRL it shows up well.

- Spellbinder dies were used to cut the image & red mat (red paper from 6x6 Graphic 45, French Country, the reverse of a pretty country red check).

- woodgrain paper from 6x6 My Mind's Eye Bramble Rose. Then used a Darice woodgrain EF, which tore the paper when the embossing was done. Got some Tea Dye Distress ink, rubbed over the torn places and decided I'd still use the piece. Looks kinda like an old beat up piece of drift lumber found at the beach..all bleached out and falling apart from being waterlogged.

- Blue paper started out as white GP. Recently saw a Youtube video on Pan Pastels by Scrap Made Simple - decided to try to make a sky background with some blue PP I have. Quite liked it. Intended to emboss it with a Darice Clouds EF that I have, can't find...so just used the dots folder.

- blue Washi tape over the join.

This will probably become a birthday card, but with the sentiment dies, it can be whatever I need it to be. Just add the sentiment diecut at the bottom, and Voila. I see that Memory Box & Elizabeth Craft have come out with some new sentiment dies (as has some other companies too. These are just my favs).

Ya'll have a great Saturday, and as always, thanks for the visit. Hugs

  4. Very pretty - love the image but I love all of Northwoods images. The woodgrain adds that great touch. Don't you love to have cards made that will work for just about any occasion - all you have to do is add the sentiment. Great job.

  10. You really are the mistress of colouring in Cardinals. This is lovely with the bottom one in flight caught perfectly with your pens.
In Bloglovin if you click on the blue wording that tells you how many are following you then it will show you the latest first and then down the list with the others. Hope this helps hugs Mrs a.

  12. Gorgeous image and your coloring is perfect. I like the softness of the neutrals with the bright orange birds. The woodgrain looks fantastic ... the torn pieces just add to the overall weathered look. Don't you love when accidents have a happy ending??!! :) Loll xx
