Friday Fun Day at Jo's Scrap Shack

Hello & Happy Friday. Today our challenge for Friday Fun Day at Jo's Scrap Shack is sponsored by Limited Runs Digital Stamps. Our Friday Fun Day Challenge #16 was to be based on the following sketch:

Now, here is the card I created

-  digi image was Birdhouse #1, and was such a treat to color with copics after printing on some Cryogen paper that was a bit lighter weight than what I'd tried previously. (Think it was like 80# weight...the other Cryogen I've tried, that my Epson printer does not like - is a tad heavier). I just tried this weight on a whim, and was delighted to see it feed through well.

- S/binder circle and scallop circle dies were used for the image & mats. The green frame was cut using 2 different sizes of the circle die. There's some paper piercing around the main image, and I can see that's something I really need to practice. I used an SU piercing template, trying to follow an SCS tutorial I had seen - detailing this effort. Mine was not the greatest result!

- background dp covering the card base was created using Dylusions Dirty Martini, diluting as I've described in earlier posts. Used a Hero Arts leaf stamp, inked with Memento Cottage Ivy to overstamp the dried dp.

- Paper Studio Vine EF was inked with Cottage Ivy prior to running the folder & c/s through the Big Shot.

- Sentiment was a snippet of another green, cut to shape, then used an Elizabeth Craft sentiment cut previously from more Dylusions playtime. I thought the reds would bring out the flower colors on the birdhouse.

I hope you'll go over to enjoy all the other delightful cards submitted by the Design Team at Jo's Scrap Shack. Also if you have time, take a peek at Limited Run Digi Stamps. I saw some nifty Halloween images and a notice that some new Christmas Digi's are available. We'd love to have you play along with us, and have some fun. Just check out the rules at Jo's Scrap Shack and com'on.

As always, thanks for your visit. Hope you're all set for a fun weekend.
Hugs
