Christmas Card Club - Trees

Hello and thanks for popping by today for the Christmas Club Challenge. This challenge consists of a group of ladies, who 'meet' every two weeks, and each time one of us has selected a particular theme for that week's challenge. Today's challenge of Trees, was chosen by Margaret of Granmargarets Cards-N-Stuff, and I hope Margaret will like my trees! (although there is only ONE! LOL)

Here goes:

- Die'Sire Die O-Christmas Tree used with some gold swirly lightweight paper. Also made sure to use the Sizzix Precision Plate  since this CAC Die'Sire die is so intricate. Had no wish to be sitting with scissors trying to cut places that did not cut well. Once I made sure the cuts were good, then replaced the Precision Plate with the regular bottom plate and used the embossing mat.  Green glitter paper under the gold c/s was just cut in a square. "Decorated" the tree and snowflakes with colored rhinestones and pearls.

- PBlack sentiment (Love & Joy) cut from some 6x6 American Crafts glitter paper, which is also the 'thin' variety, rather than like the green glitter, which has the thicker weight to it. Debated on leaving off a sentiment, as I think the die is so pretty, but the calligraphy Peace lettering doesn't really cover up.

While looking at the little cut-outs in each corner, perhaps those are meant to be trees too? And now there is a pretty gold positive tree that can be used on another card. Oh Yay!

Please do check the sidebar for my fellow cardmembers' blog links and take time to enjoy their take on today's challenge of trees!

BTW, today DH & I are married 52 years, and he did like the Tulips card. One other little comment:
Is anyone else getting this error when going to their blogs? bX-w7tr63 - reload page? I can X away and still get to the post page, and reloading doesn't clear the error either? Just askin'.

Ya'll have a grand day. Looks to be another HOT one around our place. Blessings & Hugs.

Mary I wanted to thank you too, for that lovely comment you just left on my blog. I'm never 100% sure if I'm going the right way with my crafting and your comment helps me to believe in myself. It also helps me to let go of that nagging worry when the creations are not my usual style so a huge big thank you hun.

I never knew there was a precision plate, I will have to get me one of those! I hate running a die through only to find out it didn't cut all the way through. OMGosh, Happy Anniversary Momma Mary! 52 years, wow! That is so awesome! No, I have gotten that error when I visit blogs. I hope someone can help clear that up for you Momma Mary. Stay cool!!! 35. Beautiful!! I love glitter and sparkle on Christmas cards. Only bad thing about it it sticks to everything, hubby says I always have a very glittery face.
It seems I'm learning something new over here all the time, getting introductions to tools and supplies I've never heard of. Cool. I won a gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp and I'm now considering getting a smell set of brushos. Need to pay 25% of import taxes to the Norwegian government, but I think it might be worth it...
