Mother's Day, Penny Black, Outlawz Copic Challenge

Welcome this afternoon, and thanks for joining me. Today I have a pretty Penny Black stamp as the focus of a card. I had seen this card, thought it was lovely, and remembered that I had a partially colored image stored away - somewhere! Hunted it up while I was on my blog hiatus, and thought "hm, what if I airbrushed the background with some E43, could I achieve something of this vintage look that Mrs. A did so beautifully?". And off I went. I was pleased with how it turned out, so thanks Valery for your inspiration!

- image is Penny Black Mixed Media, colored with copics, airbrushed with E43, a bit of E44 around the outer edge; diecut the image with S/Binder Label 15. Decided to come back in with DI Scattered Straw, just a dab of DI Wild Honey after I decided to use the coppery glitter paper. Since this was a partially finished image, hmm, could it qualify as a snippet you think? Well, if not, the copper glitter paper was a snippet from an interior piece (you remember my tip about layering, and cutting out what you don't see?!)

- border is a MS punch  from an experiment with Dylusions spray. This was on watercolor paper, and I couldn't decide 'what to do with it'; after looking at the colors here, decided it might make a pretty border.

- 2 sizes of SU oval punches - mat punched from snippet w/c experiment, and snippet Copic Xpress paper did the sentiment which was a SU stamp used with Colorbox Fluid Chalk, Pumpkin Spice.

This one will go to a dear friend who is 93, and now in a nursing home. I hope she'll be pleased that I thought of her.

Penny Black is having a Family Challenge and I think I'll try to submit this card.

Just checked to see Miz Pixie's Playground, Week 70 -  is still open for visitors, and I must see what is going on in the Playhouse...so I'll dash over with this one.

Come again soon, and Happy Crafting. Hugs

Edit: Just realized I could submit this to Outlawz, Friday Copic/Promarkers Challenge, so I will enter this one there too.
