Valentine

Good morning Blog Friends. After our night of wind & rain, we have a gloriously sunny morning to enjoy. The sunshine always perks up my mood. I discovered many years ago that I am one of those people who need sunshine; after several days of gray & gloom, I tend to get a bit 'blue'. On those days I have to keep very active or engaged in doing something. Guess it's from all our years in So. Florida. I have a card to share today so here goes with the specs:
- Stamp is Penny Black L.O.V.E. colored with copics on Copic Xpress cardstock
- Spellbinders Resplendant Rectangles die, S5-147, second to the largest in the set - edges distressed with DI Tattered Rose
- Sizzix Hearts embossing folders (large and a smaller one for the pink circle) The larger folder had  some Tsukineko Angel Pink gently rubbed against the heart motif before embossing
- ribbon from stash
- Glossy Accents on some of the balloon hearts
- cardbase is white GP and pink circle was from a paper snippet not yet reorganized

I hope you like the little card. Think this one might be for Sweetie, since he hasn't seen it yet. Usually he sees the image as I'm coloring it, as he sometimes will critique it for me. (of course he knows the right thing to say, but sometimes he'll be honest!!!) Ya'll have a wonderful Thursday, and I hope my followers were a bit intrigued by the little glimpse of some coming goodies in the WOYWW post yesterday. Many hugs. Thanks for stopping in to visit today.

There is a syndrome recognised now as Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD for short. We have a friend who suffers from it so badly that they have bought a place out in Spain and Winter out there each year. Your E-mail is turning out to be a book to beat Warb & Peace!!. Thought i had it saved in draft form om my Ipad but lost the blooming lot . One and a Half pages worth so busy busy busy retyping it as best from memory as I can. Sometimes you just can't beat the good old pad and pencil technique.
    Hugs Mrs A.

    1. That happens to me when I'm using the laptop, and I can never figure out what I did to make all I just typed disappear! Yes, I do think I probably suffer from SAD. My family just think I'm kinda nutsy, cause the weather doesn't bother them. It's something I recognize and try to deal with it,by being very busy (and/or taking a nap! )

I think we might very well be "naybors" because my local scrap store is none other than Scrapbook Creations! =D I live about 15 minutes from the store, in Spartanburg. I really enjoyed checking out your cards here--all really beautiful! And I love this one with the balloons. Too cute!

  6. Awww Mary, this card is too cute! I love this little hedgehog and his heart balloons! Mary we are still having the winds, rain did stop, but not before coming in the basement again. I need the sunshine too Mary, not sure where my "need" came from since I've never lived in the sunshine state, but boy if I don't get my sunshine, I'm as blue as blue can be. Like you I have to keep busy or it's not pretty. lol
